Local Filmmakers Debut Cross Country Film on America
Oneonta
Foothills Performing Arts & Civic Center
Local Filmmakers Debut Cross Country Film on America Foothills Performing Arts & Civic Center 24 Market Street Oneonta View Map Screening and discussion of "Something in the Water" a documentary about the search for common ground in America. Join us for a work-in-progress screening of the documentary "Something in the Water" at the Foothills Performing Arts Center on Saturday, December 4th at 7PM. Following the film, Gilbertsville filmmakers Jeri Wachter and Joseph C. Stillman will be present for an audience discussion. About the film: In October of last year, we began a journey to talk to people throughout America about the state of our nation. Our country, which we love dearly, has been amid a constitutional and psychological crisis for decades now, and the recent 2020 election brought it to the forefront. To understand this unique period of transition for ourselves, we drove 16,500 miles across thirty states in fifty days, to speak with 195 Americans about their concerns, their experiences, and their aspirations for our country. The results of this endeavor have turned into a compelling "work in progress" documentary called "Something in the Water," an illuminating and inspiring film about the search for common ground in America. "Something in the Water" sheds light on the remarkable diversity across our nation, and through the testimony of fellow Americans, the film sparks a dialogue from which every person, can begin a process that bridges the divisions in our country and the angst that exists as a result. As filmmakers, we take the responsibility seriously and are confident that our film offers an opportunity to learn from others what we don’t often get a chance to see. Event details: "Something in the Water" work-in-progress screening and discussion takes place on Saturday, December 4th beginning at 7 PM at the Foothills Performing Arts Center, 24 Market Street in Oneonta, NY. Seating is limited. Reservations recommended. Tickets are $10. visit:https://somethinginthewater.today, or call 607.226.4181 for more information about the project. Oracle Circle with Story Ducey Zoom event View Map ONGOING WEEKLY MONDAY CLASSES Via Zoom. All are Welcome! Email Story to get Zoom Link: storyducey@gmail.com This Circle is called an Oracle Circle because we will be focusing first, on deep meditation for healing and renewal for ourselves as we attempt to reenter the world together. Then, we will be seeking guidance, teachings and home work from Spirit together for all of us and our families as we move through this transition. This is experimental work with Spirit. We allow Spirit to direct us and present the teachings they want us to focus on. We will record the messaging and seek the overall message as confirmed by the majority of the messaging. The overall goal is to dissolve challenging personal and communal karma while we seek strength and guidance in creating a new chapter for ourselves as individuals and for our world. Story connects Scientific Research into consciousness studies, and the human energy field, until we understand how our bodies are wired for telepathy and intuition. Lots of practice with intuitive techniques, and more. . . For more info and to see more Development Circles, visit: https://www.isdoneonta.org/weekly-development-circles

The celebrated bluegrass duo — named back-to-back Entertainers of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association in 2012 and 2013 — played the Nashville game two decades ago, while in their early 20s, and were offered a major label deal, only to be told at the last minute that they were too “retro” for modern country music. Today, such characterizations, along with their authenticity, set them apart and describes the marvelous Mockingbird.
